The Inaugural session was started at 4 pm IST and distinguished guests, speakers, and participants were introduced by Prof. Nina Poyda Nosyk,(National University Ukraine & FAI Executive Council Member) and Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, General Secretary, FATER Academy of India (FAI).
Prof. Nina Poyda Nosyk introduced the Patrons of IUGMIW-2020 and invited them to say a few words about the importance of the International webinar and the theme.
Prof. B. S. Bisht, President- FAI delivered the inaugural speech and expressed his happiness about the conduct of a webinar of such a magnitude and asked the participants to gain much knowledge from the expert speakers.
On behalf of Prof. Lupenko Yuriy Oleksiiovych Director, National Scientific Centre “Institute of Agrarian Economics” National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Dr. Nadiya Stolyarchuk gave a brief outline about the India Ukraine and Greater Mekong Sub-Region International Webinar-2020.
Asso. Prof. Phipat Nonthanathorn, President –The Association of Researchers of Thailand, H. E. Muon Veasna Vice President- University of Management and Economics, Cambodia/Nominee, Prof.P.K.Srivastava, EX. President –FAI gave a wonderful start to the webinar.Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, General Secretary, FATER Academy of India, introduced the Organising Secretaries and their contributions to organizing this webinar.

The first Speaker topic was on ‘National Competitiveness and Sustainable Development: Cases of Thailand and Singapore.’ by Assoc Prof. Dr. Sakda Siriphattrasopon (ASEAN Competitiveness Centre, Singapore), who spoke about integrated world economy, competitiveness and sustainability have become a central preoccupation of both advanced and emerging countries. Our Common Future, sustainable development was defined as the “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This session was chaired by Prof Dr. Raghuraman and summarized the vital points effectively.
The second Speaker was on the topic ‘Building Sustainable Tourism Communities for Local Economic Development ’by Dr. Gina B. Alcoriza, University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi, Legazpi City, Philippines., and the session was chaired by Dr. C. C. Tan, School of Business Management, Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand
The third Speaker was on the topic ‘Increasing the investment attractiveness of the Financial Reporting indicators by applying innovations ’by Dr. Nadia Stoliarchuk, National Scientific Centre, Institute of Agrarian Economics, Ukraine, and the Chairperson for the session was Prof. Nina Poyda Nosyk, National University Ukraine & FAI Executive Council member.
The fourth Speaker was on the topic ‘Sustainable Challenges and contributing factors for community-based Cultural and Natural Tourism: Cases with Chiang Rai, Thailand’ by Dr. C. C. Tan( School of Business Management, Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand & Vice President –FAI), and the Chairperson for the session was Assoc. Prof. Phipat Nonthanathorn, President, The Association of Researchers of Thailand.
The fifth Speaker was on the topic ‘Standards of Sustainable Agricultural Production as a Competitive Advantage in the Soyabean market for farmers and companies’ by Dr. Pugachov Volodymyr, National Scientific Centre, Institute of Agrarian Economics, Ukraine and the Chairperson for the session was Prof. B. S. Bisht, President- FAI.
The sixth Speaker was on the topic ‘Cannabis Research for Sustainable Development in Thailand by Assoc. Prof. Phipat Nonthanathorn, President, The Association of Researchers of Thailand and the Chairperson for the session was Dr. Yannakorn Toprayoon. Spoke on “Cannabis will be raised to the status of an economic crop in Thailand and exported across the world, according to a government subcommittee studying the draft law on cultivation of cannabis and Thai hemp.”
The seventh Speaker was on the topic ‘World Agricultural Trade’ by Dr. Bogdan Duhnytskii, National Scientific Centre, Institute of Agrarian Economics, Ukraine & Session chaired by Dr. Nadia Stoliarchuk. He addressed the topic effectively as “The misery of millions of small-scale farmers is often the result of unfair competition between large, world market-oriented agricultural companies and small family farms. Millions of smallholders worldwide produce just enough for their families to survive. However, smallholders are often unable to produce enough and suffer from hunger. Only small-scale farmers who are able to sell their products at an adequate price will produce more than their families consume, and only under these circumstances can these farmers contribute to feeding other people and make provisions for hard times. The government has taken steps to reform the agriculture sector and to address the subsidies and high trade barriers that distort agricultural trade. The overall aim is to establish a fairer trading system that will increase market access and improve the livelihoods of farmers around the world.”
The eighth Speaker was on the topic ‘Sustainable Development in the 21st Century’ by Prof. Dr. V. Raghu Raman, Former Senior Faculty in ICT, Oman; FAI Executive Council Member, CEO –MIRA & the session chaired by Dr. Sridharan K V, Secretary FAI Tamilnadu East Chapter & Life Mastery / Transformational coach. He explained how “growth is a quantitative increase in physical scale while development is qualitative improvement or unfolding of potentialities”.
Prof. B. S. Bisht, President, FATER Academy of India delivered a talk on “World Agricultural Trade” and the chairperson for the session was Maj. Gen. Dr. M. P. Singh, Vice President- FAI.
The tenth Speaker was on the topic ‘Future of Travel and Tourism in Bangkok, Thailand ’by Dr. Yannakorn Toprayoon, (Ex. Director, School of Business Management, Rajpark Institute, Thailand & Vice President -FAI) session chaired by Lt. Gen. Abhay Parnaik (Retd). The speaker highlighted Bangkok’s Coronavirus forces tourism rethink in the world’s most visited city, but now Her Khao San Road shop is crowded with shiny magnets, brightly colored elephant keyrings, and the patterned cotton pants that have become an unofficial uniform for backpackers in Southeast Asia.
The last Speaker was on the topic ‘Data-driven Governance and Budgeting’ by Prof. Tetiana Zhyber( Kyiv National Economics University, Ukraine & FAI Executive Council Member) and the Chairperson for the session was Prof. Dr. V. Raghu Raman, Former Senior Faculty in ICT, Oman; FAI Executive Council Member, CEO –MIRA.
The conference was therefore a rich opportunity for knowledge exchange on many levels. Delegates and speakers enjoyed and displayed their seriousness and resources brought by the various organizations represented, and appreciated the opportunity for networking. The Feedback received and described the conference as ‘inspiring’, ‘fascinating’, and ‘powerful’. One delegate said that bringing such diverse people together to discuss issues at that level is precisely what is expected from this webinar.
